Product Details

Product Overview

Suitable for free discharge conditions, it can provide flame protection during vertical discharge.

It can be installed on the top of the atmospheric pressure discharge pipeline or storage tank, etc.

This series of flame arresters can be used to prevent the spread of closed and non-closed low-pressure explosions; it can prevent the ignited atmospheric pressure steam cloud from entering the discharge pipeline or storage tank through the flame arrester.

FAQ

I. General Questions

Q1: What does your company primarily do? Are your qualifications complete?

A1: We specialize in the field of industrial explosion protection and pressure relief safety. Our core products include bursting discs, flame arresters, explosion isolation valves, and flameless venting devices. We hold the "Special Equipment Manufacturing License" (for bursting disc devices) issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR). Our products fully comply with national standards like GB/T 567 and TSG ZF003, and we can provide international certifications such as ATEX and PED based on customer requirements.

Q2: How do I select the right equipment for my process conditions?

A2: Accurate selection requires the following key parameters:

Medium: Is it gas, dust, or liquid? What is its specific composition? (e.g., hydrogen, methane, corn starch dust)

Operating Pressure & Temperature: The pressure and temperature range during normal operation.

Design/Burst Pressure & Temperature: The pressure at which the safety device must activate and the temperature of the medium at that moment.

Relief Capacity/Pipe Size: The energy that needs to be vented or the nominal diameter (DN) of the pipeline.

Installation Location & Space: Is it installed indoors/outdoors? At the end of a pipe or on equipment?

Other Requirements: Is corrosion resistance, vacuum support, leak detection, etc., needed?

(Call to Action: Simply provide the above information, and our technical engineers will offer you a free selection service.)

II. Flame Arrester Specific

Q1: What's the difference between an End-of-Line (Deflagration) and In-Line (Detonation) Flame Arrester?

A1: The key difference lies in the flame speed they are designed to stop:

End-of-Line (Deflagration) Type: Stops subsonically propagating flames. Typically installed on tank vents or pipe ends to prevent external flames from entering.

In-Line (Detonation) Type: Stops supersonically propagating detonation waves. Typically installed within enclosed pipeline systems to prevent explosion propagation between equipment. Incorrect selection can lead to serious safety incidents; please always inform us of your specific installation location and operating conditions.

Q2: How do I select a flame arrester based on the gas?

A2: Selection is based on the gas's MESG (Maximum Experimental Safe Gap) value, which categorizes gases into groups:

Group IIA (e.g., Propane, Methane): Least hazardous.

Group IIB (e.g., Ethylene): Moderately hazardous.

Group IIC (e.g., Hydrogen, Acetylene): Most hazardous.

A Group IIC rated flame arrester can be safely used for all Group IIB and IIA gases. Our engineers will help you determine the correct gas group.

III. Explosion Isolation Valve Specific

Q1: How does an Explosion Isolation Valve work?

A1: An explosion isolation valve instantly physically isolates a pipeline via a mechanical valve mechanism (e.g., flap valve) upon detecting an explosion. When an explosion wave arrives from the downstream side, the pressure triggers the valve's mechanical locking mechanism, closing it before the flame front arrives, thus preventing the explosion from propagating to upstream equipment. It requires no power supply, operates purely mechanically, and reacts extremely rapidly.

Q2: Are there specific installation requirements for Explosion Isolation Valves?

A2: Yes, requirements are very strict. Explosion isolation valves must be installed horizontally. There must also be a sufficient length of straight pipe between the valve and the potential explosion source (e.g., a dust collector) – typically recommended at least 3-5 meters – to ensure the valve has enough time to close before the flame arrives. The specific required distance needs to be calculated based on the actual process conditions.
